Two new student pilots at Yarrawonga Flight Training go Solo in the same week. Song from China was first to go solo. Song arrived from 
China only three weeks earlier and after arriving in Melbourne he hired a car and drove to Yarrawonga to start his training. Three weeks later after passing all his exams with the lowest score of 98% he went solo. Three days later and after flying another seven hours Song passed his flight test and became a pilot. Well done Song…
Jarrod from Deniliquin arrived at Yarrawonga Flight Training a few months ago and decided to go on a TIF (Trial Introductory Flight). I put Jarrod in the front seat and away we went. At the end of the flight Jarrod was hooked. He signed up for lessons and started a month later. Jarrod has all passed all his exams with a 100% pass make on all five exams. Today he went solo 
in his own QuikR. Well done Jarrod…
Today was one of those days that the PulsR just loves. I nice clear morning with a light 10kt breeze from the south. It had been a month since the PulsR was last flown. Not because I didn’t want to fly it. I just have had to many students to get the time to take the PulsR up. But today was the day. No student for an hour. It to go. Pre-flight complete and start-up checks done, the engine fires into life. It didn’t take long for the PulsR to warm up and I taxied the PulsR to RWY 19. Calls made and we entered the RWY and applied power. Off we went down the RWY. At 50kts we rotated and climbed away at 1000 feet per minute. In no time at all the PulsR was cruising at 2500 feet. 
What a flight. in no time at all the hour was up and I could see the student arriving, so down we came and joined the circuit for RWY 19. Down and clear all runways, and back to the hangar. One really good flight to start the day.
P&M Aviation Australia ask the factory in the UK to make up spat cover for the QuikR, PulsR, and the HypeR trikes. This was concidered and the factory did a great job. The new spat cover will fit the thin spats and also the exploer wheels as well. They are designed for maximum protection for your P&M Trike. See P&M Accessories for more details.
P&M Aviation in the UK have been working at an amazing pace to get P&M Aviation Australia’s new aircraft ready for shipment. The new HypeR has had many modifications done by Dr Bill Brooks the designer to make it even better. These new developments will now be added to any new HypeR that will be built and come off the production line in the future. The engine is about to be added and then flight tests begin.
P&M Aviation Australia’s new QuikR’s are at the same stage. The silver QuikR is now ready to ship and the Orange QuikR as seen in the photo is ready for it engine. This should happen very soon and then flight test will be done. Delays have occurred due to the Service Bulletin 147. This has had 
a huge impact of the factories resources. The SB147 was all about older Q2 wing and some of the GT450 wing that are over 10 years old. You can read up on the SB147, under SB147 on the website. The factory contacted all owner of affected wings and the cables were replace ASAP. The factory is now back to normal and aircraft production is getting back to normal. There is a new PulsR being built and P&M Aviation Australia has now ordered another three new QuikR’s.
